DESCRIPTION:
Circa 1930s / 1940s, bias cut with ruffles fluttering about the bodice, the silk velvet of this dress shimmers and glides on the body when worn. There are 3 snap closures at the waistline. No zipper, no buttons. It's the kind you 'slink' over your head very carefully. The sleeves are lined with delicate mesh to help with it's structure.
This dress hails from the hallowed halls of Jean Harlow, Joan Crawford, Carole Lombarde, Claudette Colbert...
Prepare to turn heads and break hearts in this gown. I imagine the lovely woman who wore this dress the first time most certainly did.

OTHER DETAILS:
There is a 1' oblong spot of some kind at the hem. It looks to us to be of a rust nature. It is part of the gown, but doesn't detract from the functionality or overall appearance of the gown. There is also one tear to the inside mesh of one of the sleeves, but because it's mesh, we can't have it repaired.
The price reflects both of these things.
