70s brown leather sandals have a beautiful open toe with tiny cut out detail across the top of the leather. They have a side buckle and 3" platform heel. They were made by El Greco and are an uncommonly rare larger size.
"Woke up it was a chelsea morning and the first thing that I knew...!"
I want to imagine that Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Mama Cass and all of the other Ladies of the Canyon had platforms just like these in their closets.
We used these for MANY a photo shoot when we first started photographing things and it's going to be hard to turn these babies loose as a result.
ITEM MEASUREMENTS: (we measured the right shoe)
Length From heel to toe: 10"
Width (measured on ball/sole of foot): 3"
Interior Footbed: 10"
Heel height: 3"
The size indicated on the shoe is marked 9M but I would definitely go by our measurements above as these shoes are 52 years old so we are not 'saying' they are a 9M by today's standards. We found minor staining on the suede consistent with the age of these shoes. They appear to be in good vintage condition otherwise.
